Trip to South Dakota 20220629

I (Wayne Wieseler) traveled to South Dakota for his 50th Class Reunion. I spent much time with Cindy and Rod Wieseler's family. Here are a few of the photos and a link to the whole photo album.

Wieseler Burial Head Stones in Germany

Mike Sprenger took these pictures while he and his wife, Carol Birgen, were traveling in Europe. There are several Wieseler headstones as well as those of other names in the Polo community.

Family Website

I have launched The Wieseler Family Website to allow us a centralized location for family information, photographs, and news. There are several fun things such as News and Photos that we can add.

I would like to give access to any of you who know how to create and modify elements of this site. Google is very easy to learn and use, and I would hope that it will eventually have many contributors. To be a contributor, simply create a Google email account, and I will add you to the contributors' list.

The History is still a work in progress, but it is about all that I can find at this point. If you have any information, please send it to me.

The most important information that I need now is the personal email addresses of family members so that I can spread access to everyone. Please email them to thewieselerfamily@gmail.com.

The News will allow us to see what family members have been up to lately. The individual who posts the blog item will be responsible for managing it and removing it.

The Calendar draws the birthdays and anniversaries information from the Contacts in the Gmail account. To add a birthday or anniversary, one can create a new contact and place the date in the Birthday section of the contact information. Since Contacts do not have a place for anniversaries, we can put the word Anniversary in the contact's name area. Other events such as reunions, graduations, and family picnics can also be added directly to the Calendar.

Family Profiles are pages for individuals to put personal and professional information about themselves. For example, mine has an Art Show on it.

The Family Tree is very incomplete right now. Please send any information to thewieselerfamily@gmail.com so that I can update it.
